History of Cambridge Court
Cambridge Court was opened by Dublin City Council in 1985. It is a sheltered housing complex for senior citizen and once employed a warden but this has been discontinued. The original warden still lives in the complex. At one time meals were cooked and eaten in a common room ( Cambridge Court Day Centre) but this also has been discontinued. There is a committee and an official/semiofficial website both of which are run by one of the tenants. A company called
COMMUNITY SERVICES – SANDYMOUNT, IRISHTOWN AND RINGSEND LIMITED
is involved in running Cambridge Court Day Centre which is within the Cambridge Court complex. The architects who drew up the plans for Cambridge Court are Downey MacConville. It is situated in the Docklands area of Ringsend in Dublin Ireland.
